Clinical Supervision

Matthew is a qualified Clinical Supervisor, with a Certificate in Professional Supervision, and accredited as a Clinical Supervisor by the Australian Counselling Association.

Matthew brings to his work as a clinical supervisor:
~ Many years of counselling experience at the Emotional Fitness Foundation, Centacare and Relationships Australia, applying knowledge of best practice policies and procedures.
~ Expert knowledge of trauma counselling, in particular somatic approaches now known to be an essential tool in effective trauma work.
~ Deep practice knowledge and experience guiding clients in mindfulness-based approaches to healing.
~ Professional training expertise as evidenced in Matthew's work as a trainer for the Blue Knot Foundation.
~ Rich experience in working in varying cultural settings, including providing counselling and training to Indigenous clients and professionals.
~ A background in teaching adults and children earlier in his career
